Professional and down-to-earth

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

We are looking for professional yet down-to-earth licensed healthcare professionals to join our growing collective of perinatal healthcare providers who want to be part of a support work community!

POSITION: Birth Doula

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered healthcare professional (ND, RMT, Reg Acu, DC etc)

CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Birth doulas who would like to increase their clientele numbers.
  • Individuals with a strong interest in working as a birth doula, supporting and attending to families during labour and childbirth in their home, hospital and birth centre settings.
  • Team members who are willing to take on 3 or more doula clients per month.
  • Those with training and experience is a plus but not necessary as we have a full on-boarding process and mentorship program for new doulas.
  • For brand new doulas (or considering to become one) preference will go to candidates who have completed our Professional Doula Training program.

POSITION: Lactation consultant

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered healthcare professional (ND, RMT, Reg Acu, DC etc) AND IBCLC certification

CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Available to provide in-home lactation support
  • LC’s who take a judgment-free approach and who support the family’s choices in their feeding journey
  • Availability to see lactation clients at least 3 days of the week
  • Availability during “off hours” and/ or weekends a plus but not necessary

POSITION: Postpartum Doula

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered healthcare professional (ND, RMT, Reg Acu, DC etc) AND Postpartum doula training

CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Available to provide in-person support during the day or night in home or hospital settings
  • Available during “off hours” and/ or weekend if needed

POSITION: Back-up Doula

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered healthcare professional (ND, RMT, Reg Acu, DC etc) OR student of a naturopathic doctor training program (ie. CCNM)

YDD has a dedicated team of back-up doulas that are available to cover any seen and unforeseen circumstances for our primary doula team. Being a back-up doula is a great way to get some birth experience for those who are brand new doulas.

  • Individuals with a strong interest in working as a birth doula, supporting and attending to families during labour and childbirth in their home, hospital and birth centre settings.
  • Those with training and experience is a plus but not necessary as we have a full on-boarding process and mentorship program for new doulas.
  • For brand new doulas (or considering to become one) preference will go to candidates who have completed our Professional Doula Training program.

POSITION: Sleep Consultant

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered healthcare professional (ND, RMT, Reg Acu, DC etc) AND Completion of Isla-Grace Baby-led Sleep and Well-Being Specialist Certification Course (or similar)

CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • SC who takes a child-led family-centred approach who does not recommend cry-it-out or forced separation methods
  • Available for virtual or in-person sleep consults
  • Individual has at least 1 year of sleep consulting experience and provides written reports for families
